Former Thalassemia Society Chairperson Abdul Muizzu Hassan Passes Away

Abdul Muizzu Hassan, the former Chairperson of the Thalassemia Society of Maldives, has passed away today.
At the time of his passing, Muizzu was serving as the Contract Management Manager at the Housing Development Corporation. He passed away while receiving treatment in the Intensive Care Unit after his health deteriorated.
Muizzu was widely recognized as a dedicated advocate for the rights of individuals living with Thalassemia. Throughout his years of service, he worked actively to promote the welfare and support of people affected by the condition.
Muizzu was one of the key figures who led recent campaigns to raise public awareness about thalassemia in the Maldives. He maintained a close professional relationship with journalists and members of the media, and frequently appeared on television and radio programs to share important information with the public.
In his professional career, Muizzu served at the Housing Development Corporation, where he also held the position of President of the HDC Club. He played a significant role in promoting staff engagement and organizing activities that strengthened unity among employees.
